Teaching Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 1000 words
Teaching - Essay Example t is, therefore, the responsibility of the educators to ensure that they structure their pedagogical methods in such a manner that is interesting and appealing to the learners. It would be more beneficial if the learning process is learner centered. This method would allow for an all inclusive classroom where all the learnersââ¬â¢ exceptions are met. The teaching and learning process is an intricate one that places almost all the responsibilities on the teachers. Being in front of the classroom, the educators must be keen to select the best teaching methodologies appropriate for the learnersââ¬â¢ abilities. It is obvious that an interesting teacher has massive impacts on the learners as compared to one who relies on the lecture method to impart knowledge (Malik, 2011). The theories of learning, particularly the constructivism theory have been of great benefit in the teaching and learning process. It is evident that researchers in the field of education have been on the move to devise theoretical approaches that would be useful in the classroom setting. This leads to an interpretation of the fact that various theories have indeed found their way to the practical aspect of education. Learners have been incorporated in the classroom setting through engagement in the learning process as well as responding to the concepts being taught (Hubber & Tytler, 2004). It is important that educators change the notion of the insustainability of the theories of learning by virtue of provision of limited evidence. Though they do not reject the theory, it would be imperative that they apply the concepts of these theories in learning due to the relevance of the same. It is clear that the implications of these theories are not evident in the learning environment. Research conducted by educational analysts indicates that though a lot of educators do not accord much relevance on the theories by the analysts in the educational field, their works are still relevant in the learning

Leadership and Leadership Development Assignment
Leadership and Leadership Development - Assignment Example This research will begin with the statement that the ability of an individual or an organization to influence workers working at different levels in a way that enables them to deliver the desired results is the aim of managing leadership development. Leaders working at different levels have to adopt different working techniques to influence their workers to achieve a collective aim. This is due to the fact that every level of work poses its unique challenges and the leader has to act in accordance with the requirement of circumstances to fulfill the desired goals. The duty of the first-line supervisor is to get a pre-defined amount of work done by using the workforce that is available to him. He is also responsible to oversee the working and conduct of his workers. Keeping in view this description, it is logical to assert that a first-line supervisor deserves to be trained to allow him to supervise effectively during his job hours. He should be motivated by informing him about the po ssibility of his growth and by evaluating his performance and rewarding him if he performs better. The leader of this level can opt for an autocratic leadership style since it is important that his orders be obeyed to ensure smooth productivity of the firm. At middle manager level, the nature of responsibility changes and such a manager has to coordinate between the works of different working groups within the organization.

Managing in a Strategic Business Context - Consultancy Report Essay
Managing in a Strategic Business Context - Consultancy Report - Essay Example (Katherine, 2002) When Mersey Trust intends on making severe changes in its provision, structure and any other aspects, it needs to consider the community; these are the main beneficiaries of decisions made by the trust. The NHS Trust under study has to put in mind that the number of patients is increasing and more needs to be done to reduce waiting times and quality of health care provided to these increasing numbers. They need to ensure that patients have been adequately catered for. (Katherine, 2002) Staff members need to be incorporated in any changes that the Trust intends on undertaking. It should be aware that changes in staff payments or employee conditions are to be kept at minimum in order to reduce friction and possible confrontations that have been seen in the past from similar NHS trusts. The Trust has to face conflicting roles. It has to fulfil its humanitarian aspect of helping out those who need assistance in terms of health care. In addition, it also has to deal with the fact that it still has to consider market forces during its commissioning activities. This can prove to be a rather daunting task. (Legge, 2004) The Trust has to include technological advancements in its administration. Technological advancement should also be incorporated in the organisationââ¬â¢s information system so that accountability and good governance are promoted. Mersey Care has to deal with the increased competition among providers that has arisen after a number of independent health Care service providers have been given the mandate to provide their services to patients. Also, there have been some treatment and diagnostic centres that have been commissioned. This means that the Trust needs to focus highly on commissioning activities. (Black, 2003) There are a number of partners that are involved in health care provision. These need to be incorporate into the management of the Trust. Policies within the

Product Report Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 500 words
Product Report - Essay Example Keeping this theory in mind, it is quite obvious that the product category of ââ¬Ëketchupââ¬â¢ is in the maturity stage. This is apparent due to the following reasons: i. The market has become saturated with many variants of the basic product. For example, tomato chilly ketchup, sweet and sour ketchup. ii. Market share growth is at the expense of some other competitor rather than actual growth in the market (this is quite clear from the fact that competitors try to motivate consumers to try their product and appear superior to other brands of ketchup rather than just sell the idea of having ketchup with oneââ¬â¢s fries or burgers). iii. The product is constantly being modified by players in the industry to differentiate their product from those of competitors (Ex: Heinz Dip & Squeeze Ketchup). iv. Emphasis of the promoters in the industry is to build brand loyalty and give customers incentives to switch over to their brand (As Heinz has done in this case study by offering fr ee fried chicken with the dip and squeeze and earlier by offering free fries and ketchup in their mobile vans). There are many strategies that marketers use to manage their productââ¬â¢s life cycle.

Database Design Process Project (Preparation) Essay
Database Design Process Project (Preparation) - Essay Example Moreover, it offers specific built-in templates that facilitate the users to choose well suited ERD template according to the needs and requirements of the projects. Once a template has been selected by the user, the shapes (entities, relationships, category, etc.) can be drawn by just pick and drop method. The entity represents a table of a database and the relationship shape represents the relation between two tables which can be one to one, one to many, etc. After dragging an entity to the drawing board, the user can add an entity / table name, diverse columns and their names according to the requirements of the table, the data types of the created columns, selection of primary key, check / tick if a particular column must have a value and the column referred to as the foreign key (if any). In this way, the user can add several entities / tables as per the requirements of the database design under development. After adding all the entities to the drawing board, the user can add re lationships between the entities by relating the primary key with foreign key and this can be done by dragging the particular shapes. Moreover, the MS Visio provides the functionalities to add triggers, indexes and notes on entities and their relationships. When the users are done with creating the entity relationship diagram, the file can be saved in .vsd format in the hard drive of the PC / laptop; moreover, the saved file can be edited or updated when required. The MS Visio offers the functionality of viewing the complete diagram, page setup and printing the diagram (Sethi, 2006). It is required for the Riordan Manufacturing Virtual Organization to develop policies, guidelines, standards and practices to put in place for the use of the MS Visio. I would suggest the organization to use the conventional standards of ERD elements to represent an entity there should be a rectangular shape along with one row having the entity name and one rectangular shape should only represent one en tity. The primary key of the entity should be represented by a key symbol, the relationships between the entities should be represented with dotted lines and the color of the foreign key attribute should be red. Furthermore, the overall ER diagram should be easy to understand and precise to conceive by everyone, therefore, it is recommended that the users should add proper notes that would assist and aid the users to understand the diagram completely. It is pertinent to mention here that the MS Visio offers the same template to develop ER diagrams. The practices and guidelines for naming convention of the tables and attributes should be clarified to the employees and users of the MS Visio in the virtual organization. I would suggest to the management of the organization that the table / entity name should always start with ââ¬Ëtblââ¬â¢ characters, for example the entity name ââ¬ËtblCustomerââ¬â¢ i-e the entity or table having the information of the customer. The pre-char acters of the attribute name should be understandable having first character of the table name and capital characters like the attribute name ââ¬ËcFNameââ¬â¢ can be read as the first name of the customer. The employees of the virtual organization should be given proper training on the guidelines, standards and practices for using the MS Visio to develop the ER diagrams. The employees should be guided on saving the file names and should have
